I can still remember playing Diablo with my friends via modem back in the days. Doing so was the coolest thing because internet wasn’t that fast/popular/accessible back then. With the dawn of online games, however, I must admit my Diablo addiction was put to rest.
The announcement of Diablo III’s release, though, somehow put the spark back. I missed the game all of a sudden.
IP E-games and Level Up Inc. is merging. The corporate disclosure recently filed at the Philippine Stock Exchange reads:
IP E-Game Ventures Inc. (E-Games), the listed online gaming subsidiary (PSE:EG) of IP Ventures, Inc., and Level Up! Inc. (LUI), have reached an
agreement to merge their Philippine online game publishing businesses. On February 14, the parties signed an agreement stating that most of E-Game’s titles and assets relating to its game publishing business will be transferred to LUI and the publishing operations of said titles will be merged into LUI’s associated online game publishing company, Playweb Games Inc.In exchange, E-Games will receive equity in LUI, a commercial interest in Playweb Games Inc. (game publisher and operator of all game titles and services under the Level Up! brand in the Philippines), and a cash consideration. The parties shall work in good faith to complete the deal. The appropriate disclosures and comprehensive statements shall be made at the appropriate time.
E-Games and LUI, as a merged entity, is expected to strategically benefit both companies as a result of future operational synergies and savings.
The 2nd PUP Otaku Xperience will happen on March 2-3, 2012 at the PUP Freedom Plaza, PUP Main Campus in Sta. Mesa, Manila. It is presented by the PUP Otaku U Rule who will also be celebrating its second year anniversary with the event.
The organization will also be launching the Ignite Anime campaign during the event. The campaign "is designed to reenergize and reinvigorate the anime fandom and individual anime brand with fun games and activities for the enjoyment of the general public."
Good news to Cross Fire Philippines players! The much-awaited Hero Mode Patch very soon!
The Hero Mode Patch features the new action-packed game mode called Hero Mode, an advanced version of the Zombie Mode wherein one player will be chosen to be the powerful “Hero.” The patch will also include new lotto weapons namely MG3, a low recoil machine gun and Christmas Set that includes Holiday themed AK47, Kriss Super V, M249 and the first ever permanent melee weapon, Kris. There will also be an addition in the Zombie characters, the fast and scary Assassin.
What's more, the game is giving out free Gold AK47 and Gold Katana both for 30 days to users who were able to log in from October 1, 2011 to November 30, 2011 and to those who were unable to log in since July 12, 2011 to October 31, 2011.

Crossfire Team Philippines is now in Busan, Korea to represent the country at the World Cyber Games 2011 on December 8 to 11, 2011.
The Philippine Team was composed of some members from Cebu's Team MOTV, winner of Crossfire Pride of Champions League (PCL) National Finals, joined by some members from the PCL runner-up, Team Cristal. Problems with VISA applications prohibited other MOTV members from flying to Korea, thus, some members of Cristal were called to complete the team.
Gameclub's Genghis Khan enters the Open Beta Phase tomorrow, December 8, 2011. The Closed Beta Phase ended last December 5 leaving hundreds of beta testers craving for the real deal.
Gameclub Philippines is releasing a new game titled Genghis Khan. Yep! The historical icon is now in the gaming world. And he's coming to the Philippines on November 29, 2011.
Genghis Khan is developed by Kylin Games, bringing history and fantasy in the game. The setting is 1300 AD Mongolia and the mission is to help build the empire, fight off invasions, and combat other kingdoms.
You can climb the rank from a new recruit to the army to King or Queen of your chosen kingdom. There are 12 classes and 8 professions to choose from. Mounts are also available. What's exciting is that you can also get EXP while visiting the theme park or dancing in the club.
