Diablo III: Barbarian

Though they were once misunderstood as simple, bloodthirsty invaders, the long and noble history of these proud people is now rightly acknowledged. And therein lies the greater tragedy here, for those of us familiar with the nobility of the barbarians remember too what they call their "vigil", the concept that lay at the very heart of their culture. The barbarians consider it their sworn duty to protect Mount Arreat and the mysterious object within. They believe that if they fail to uphold their duty to the great mount, or are not given a proper burial upon its slopes, they will be denied a true warrior's death, and their spirits shall roam the land without honor for all eternity.

If there are any barbarians left alive, they must truly be without hope. Perhaps this is the genesis of the rumors of monstrous things reported to resemble the barbarians in size and ferocity, but that are in reality nothing more than unreasoning, inhuman beasts. Could the destruction of not only their home but also their very beliefs have actually brought this magnificent race so low?

Barbarian Skills:
Cleave
Ground Stomp
Leap
Seismic Slam
Whirlwind

Bosses of Holy-Moon Valley

Spirit-Moon Valley

This boss is very powerful. Its skills mainly consist of fire which he uses to great effect against individuals. When the battle reaches its peak, he is also capable of releasing massive amounts of fire magic in the form of an area attack - with him at its center. Despite his apparent strength, however, players must look out for his summoned minions.

At the beginning of each fight, the boss will summon a number of deadly exploding traps. It takes a while for them to explode after being summoned so there is some time to escape before being caught up in the explosion. Players must also look out for the boss ability to reduce their movement speed - last thing a player would want is to have a slow reaction time just as a trap is about to explode.

Fixed-Moon Valley

This is a very devious boss; although he boasts only mediocre attack ability at the onset of any fight, he will continue to gather strength while casting spells that greatly reduce attack and spell casting speed of his opponents. However, once he has gathered enough strength, his attack methods change greatly. He can use his energy to either reduce the players' gold or increase his strength exponentially. Once he has expended his stored energy, he must once again gather strength to prepare for another round of vicious attacks. After a certain amount of time has passed, the boss may enter an extremely violent state that makes him nigh impossible to defeat. So players must take advantage of his weaker periods in order to defeat the boss before he becomes berserk.

True-Moon Valley

Don't be fooled by the simple appearance of this boss, he is one mean killing machine. Though he does not boast wide area skills, he has extremely deadly single-attack skills meant to kill most players in less than a minute. What makes this boss even more difficult is his lust for blood - once he sees players fall from his rampage, he will increase his attack power so that more players will fall on his claws! Players must exercise care when dealing with him. One false move may spell the player's doom.

Holy-Moon Valley

This boss is quite elusive when faced with multiple opponents. He will confuse opponents by making multiple copies of himself, which have far lesser HP and attack power than the original; however, it makes killing the boss all the more difficult. Once all the clones have been killed, he can again summon another army of clones to start the chaos once more. He does not have a particularly impressive attack power, but he has a few area attack skills that can kill weaker players if they're not careful.

PERFECT WORLD:
The Legend of Holy-Moon Valley

The theological war between the gods caused a great cataclysm in the old world. In order to make amends and to find a new home for the people who suffered, the gods set aside their differences and created the new world between the human world and the heavens: the Perfect World.

With the cataclysm came a sharp decline in faith, and the gods were unable to retain their power. In order to regain their worshippers, the gods gathered in a secluded location - a gathering they dubbed "The Accord of Enlightenment."

Before they began the accord, each deity chose a mortal to serve as his or her avatar. These chosen ones known as the "Divine Children" were given the task to spread the word on behalf of their patron.

While the legends of the Divine Ones were widespread, no one has actually seen them in person.

The Perfect World has undergone profound changes in the last 10,000 years. The Humans, Wingkin, and Beastkin have united to fight against a common enemy - the Soulless - who have cast a dark shadow over the Perfect World. The passage of the Accord of Enlightenment went unnoticed during the turmoil, and the Divine Children vanished from memory.

The ancient histories credited the Divine Children with eternal life. They spent the long years in the Four Secret Lands, preparing for the return of the gods.

Thus, when the Soulless invaded Perfect World, the mortal races have long forgotten the existence of the Divine Children, and they faced the Soulless bereft of the Divine Children's help.

The Shattering of the Peace
One day, a mysterious man claiming to be one of the Divine Children appeared. He let it be known that the Accord of Enlightenment was nearing its completion, but a mysterious power has invaded the Secret Lands.

An ancient curse originated during the creation of the Perfect World. With the decline of faith in the gods, so were the powers of the Divine Children reduced. The return of the gods has been placed in great peril.

The Divine Children are at a loss to find the source of this mysterious power. However, it is quite apparent that whoever is behind this power wants to prevent the return of the gods.

Should the Divine Children fail to return the gods to the Perfect World, the mortal races will face the impending threat alone, bereft of help.

And thus, the Divine Children place their hopes on the heroes of the Perfect World. With the unity of Divine guidance and Mortal ingenuity, the ancient curse can be broken.

The mysterious man has opened the pathway to one of the four Secret Lands, the fabled Holy-Moon Valley. Heroes have begun their journey to this land of legend, to discover the dangers that lurk within.

Unlocking Solo Mode
First, players must go to Arrow Villa, look for NPC Dugukhofsky (427,457), and accept the quest. To complete the quest, players must form a party (at least two players) and enter Moon Valley in party mode in order to complete the quest. The quest monsters are in Witch-Moon Valley and Mysterious-Moon Valley.

After completing the objectives, players can return to Dugukhofsky in Arrow Villa to complete the quest in order to unlock Solo Mode. To quickly go to the entrance of Holy-Moon Valley, you can accept the quest from NPC Flying Sky in Arrow Village in order to teleport to Buddha's City, where the entrance to Holy-Moon Valley is located.

manapool drained per unit moved. So, if the target moves 700 units, at level
1 it loses 24.5% of total mana pool.. at level 4 it loses 35% of its total
mana pool. Duration of the buff is 5/6/7/8

If the target runs out of mana, the effect stops and the target is stunned
for 1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds.

Greater Quillbeast 700 -> 500 hp
Cooldown: 45/50/55/60 -> 40 seconds
Duration: 60/70/80/90 -> 60 seconds

Captains Mode:
--------------

Blue and Pink are the team captains. A random side starts the process(you
can customize this, see below)

Ban Time: 40
Pick Time: 60
Extra Time: 45

You start by alternating 1/1/1 in the ban phase. Each captain removes up to
4 heroes. Running out of time does not result in a random hero ban.

After that you enter the 1/2/2/ pick phase. Each captain picks the heroes
his team will use.

If at any time you run out of time, you start to use up your extra time. If
you run out and you are in pick phase, you get a random hero.

Creeps spawn 90 seconds after the pick draft phase is over. Right after the
hero pick phase ends, the 5 heroes for your team are presented with a
checkmark on them (RD style) allowing players on your team to pick which one
they want to be.

The captain that starts this process is random. If you want to give the
starting to Sentinel, type -cm 1 or -cm 2 for Scourge after the game mode is
entered.

The picks, bans, timers, etc are all presented in a board for easy viewing
by team mates and observers.

Grand Chase CBT Starts On October 14, 2008!

For the past few days, we’ve been getting calls, e-mails, and comments about how the Grand Chase CBT client doesn’t work. Well er… that’s because it’s not yet open to the public guys. We just let you download the client and get your accounts in advance so there won’t be any traffic during opening day. Anyway, the good news is that we now have a sure date on when we will start CBT. On October 14, 2008, we will open CBT and we’re inviting all of you to join in on the fun! Grand Chase will surely be the next big thing in the Philippines and it would be bad if you missed out on all the action.

If you haven’t signed up for a CBT account, please visit the Grand Chase website and get one. Note that you don’t have to win a raffle to get the CBT account! All you have to do is to input your e-mail address and we’ll send you the account information in 1-2 days. After getting the account, just download the client through the Grand Chase website as well. By the way, feel free to drop by at the Cosplay Mania event on October 12. We have a public GC game trial there and we will be giving away Grand Chase installers, CBT accounts, and posters for FREE!

Grand Chase at Cosplay Mania 2008

Level Up will be sponsoring Cosplay Mania this coming Sunday, October 12, 2008! Just like what we did during Road to Live, we’re going to have another public Grand Chase trial. Not only that, we will be giving away free Grand Chase CBT accounts and Posters as well. Oh diba? Hehehe. Cosplay Mania is organized by Cosplay.Ph, a Cosplay organization led by a good friend of mine - Pablo Bairan. To those who don’t know him, he’s actually Nethermir from the Chaos server. If I’m not mistaken, he’s the first level 99 Knight in the Philippines. Anyway, I hope to see you guys at the event! It will be at the SM Megamall Mega Trade Hall 3 and it will start at 10AM and will last until 9PM.

Cabal Online's Rookies Guild

ROOKIES GUILD Function now APPLIED in the LIVE SERVERS!

In order to bring the community together especially for new comers, CABAL Online PH will be adapting the "Rookie's Guild" Feature. Whenever a user creates a new character, a system message will prompt and invite them to join the "Rookie's Guild". From there, new users can get along with the other new users making the game play a little bit more convenient and friendly.

All Rookies Guild Members will automatically be removed from the Rookies Guild once they reach Level 50. A member of the Rookies Guild can withdraw from the guild at anytime; however, they cannot rejoin the guild once they decided to withdraw.
